The Greatest Vegan Chocolate Thick Shake

As a kid, I used to loveeeee the chocolate thick shakes from McDonald's. Especially when you would dip fries in them, yum! I decided to try and make a vegan chocolate thick shake, and damn, it is easily the best chocolate thick shake I have ever had! It is super thick and rich, and is easily a death-by-chocolate kind of situation, and if you make this, you will not be disappointed! After finding some Ayam coconut cream at a supermarket while I was on holidays, I decided to have another hack at whipped coconut cream and add it to the thick shake!

Serves two, approx 10 minutes to make.

You will need:

4 scoops of vegan chocolate ice-cream (I used this)
2 large bananas
2 cups almond milk
a few tbsp of vegan chocolate sauce (the ones that typically are used for pancakes etc tend to be vegan)
approx 1/2 cup whipped coconut cream (I used this recipe)
cocoa powder, to top (optional)

1. Combine 2 scoops of chocolate ice-cream, 2 bananas and 2 cups of almond milk in a blender until combined.
2. Coat the insides of two glasses with chocolate sauce, and divide the thick shake between the two glasses.
3. Add a scoop of ice-cream to each glass.
4. Add your cream (I put mine in an icing bag to get the spiral look).
5. Dust with cocoa!
